Paul is Principal of ANSENresearch, a consulting partnership focusing on servitization and advanced service contracts. The prime aim is to bring together funders and manufacturers to create a special edge beyond the mere performance of equipment to deliver real value-added outcomes that today’s customers demand.

Paul was CEO of JCB Finance Ltd for 10 years until retirement in 2022 after 43 years service. He holds an Honorary Fellowship at the London Institute of Banking and Finance and prior to that was an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers from 1980.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and won their ‘Sir Henry Fildes’ national trophy in 2007.

In 2022 he retired as a Board Director of the London based Finance & Leasing Association and Chair of their Asset Finance Division.

The same year, he was appointed Visiting Professor to the College of Business and Social Sciences at Aston University, UK.

In 2025, he launched his first book ‘TRANSFORMING PRODUCTS INTO SERVICES - Time to Cross the Rubicon’
