Katrin Püttmann is the CEO of FMIT Technologies and a senior financial services executive with deep hands-on experience in auto and equipment finance, credit, operations, and digital transformation across Europe.
She studied Economics and Political Science at the University of Berlin and began her career in the auditing division of a German banking group later integrated into Deutsche Bank. She subsequently worked as a consultant at IBM Germany and the German Asset Financing and Consumer Credit Association, advising boards of directors on regulatory, strategic, and transformation topics.
KP later joined Mercedes-Benz Mobility and Mercedes-Benz Bank, where she initially led an international Mergers & Acquisitions program. She then served as COO and Head of CRM at Mercedes-Benz Mobility Spain, with end-to-end responsibility for credit, underwriting, operations, and digitalisation, as well as regulatory relations with the Bank of Spain.
In 2018, she moved from corporate leadership into entrepreneurship and is today CEO of FMIT Technologies, a company specialising exclusively in data engineering. Unlike traditional consultancies that try to cover everything, FMIT focuses end-to-end on data: extracting it from complex enterprise systems, structuring and refining it, and turning it into assets that can be exploited through automation and AI. If large consultancies build the infrastructure, FMIT works on accelerating the “energy layer” — making data usable, scalable, and economically valuable.
At this conference, Katrin will bring a clear, experience-driven perspective on technology, data, and ROI, addressing AI in auto and equipment finance beyond the hype. Drawing on both C-level operational responsibility and real-world implementation experience, she will discuss where AI actually delivers value, where friction typically arises, and how executives can make automation and AI work in practice — without disrupting core businesses or burning transformation budgets.
