Carlos has been appointed MD VFS UK & IE in February 2025. Previously, Carlos was VFS SVP Region Latin America, having joined Volvo Group on the 1st of July of 2020. He is responsible for providing leadership, support and oversight to the operations in the UK and Ireland, as well as strategic steering to VFS India; while working closely with Volvo Group, VFS Global Operations and Brand colleagues to further integrate and develop strong relationships with each other, and with our customers and dealers.

Carlos has more than 25 years in various senior management positions and brings extensive experience in automotive and financial services businesses. He worked most recently as President of Komatsu Bank in Brazil. He has also held roles as CFO & COO for Gulf Bank in Kuwait, CEO & Regional Vice President for GMAC Financial Services In Europe and Asia Pacific, President of GM Bank in Brazil, Treasury and Tax Director for Philip Morris Food and Tobacco Companies in Brazil, among others, with further international assignments in New York, Detroit and Buenos Aires.
